Amanda Elizabeth Righetti (born Amanda Elizabeth Righetti) is an American actress and producer. Her fame was based on her role as Special Agent Grace Van Pelt on CBS's The Mentalist, a police procedural show. Righetti was raised in Utah and was always looking to become a performer. Righetti played a significant role in the 2009 slasher movie "Friday The 13th", the Marvel superhero film 'Captain USA: The First Avenger', Fox's soap opera "North Shore," and the drama series "Reunion". Between 2008 and 2015 she played Grace Van Pelt in 'The Mentalist', earning critical praise for her performance. Righetti most recently played Madeline Kenner in USA Network's science fiction series "ColonyThe Mentalist.
