Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is a American TV chef and ex-teacher at the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host sporting spiky blonde hair and an ebullient appearance, shares tips on how to cook restaurant-style dishes in your home with simple techniques. Chef Burrell is also a part of the top New York eateries, learned about Italian cuisine and its traditions, and competed on Food Network's Iron Chef America. Burrell, who grew up in New York State's Upstate, developed an early passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the catalyst for her passion for managing restaurants when she received an English/Communications degree at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was where I had my most memorable time in my life. I couldn't learn enough couldn't do enough couldn't work hard enough. After graduating, chef Burrell resided in Italy for a whole year attending an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. She also worked in La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin star restaurant) in Tuscany. The chef gained an appreciation of Italian culture and cuisine during her stay in Italy that has informed the way she cooks. Burrell is a celebrity ambassador to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She also was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists kids who have challenges. Burrell is often a guest presenter at conferences, and she travels across the nation in her mentorship job. Through her culinary adventures, Anne has often said that I am so lucky to be able to share my passion for life with people.
