Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko competes as a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter for the UFC's flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, a former UFC Flyweight titleholder and UFC other fighter, is her elder sister. Antonina Shevchenko started her professional career as an Muay Thai kickboxer. She debuted in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Milliner in a unanimous vote. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007 and an award of bronze in 2008, and a gold medal gold in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA World Amateur Muaythai Champion 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia has started her professional career in 2003, was crowned in 2012 and the 2016 Lion Fight Lightweight Championships. In 2016, the WMC World Championships were staged in 2016, and she took home the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina Shevchenko broke her first professional MMA record in 2002 at KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She won with a TKO during the 2nd round, and went on to win her 2 subsequent fights in the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. She was awarded a 3-0 MMA record. Shevchenko stopped her involvement in MMA in order to concentrate on boxing. She made her return against Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko was victorious against Anissa Haddaoui in the unanimous verdict. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in a unanimous decision. In 2018, she resigned from the contest and started participating in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko faced Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's superior strike skills let her TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina took part in her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne modafferi by split decision after she won her debut fight. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss by prevailing Lucie Prudilova's fight at UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler by submitting a rear naked choke submission. This was by far the most exciting fight of the night in this fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record over her next three bouts, winning against Ariane Lipski and being defeated by Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina lost her last fight to Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
